Grandma's Chinchin

Grandma's Chinchin (Now Grannyrosy's Chinchin) was inspired by the memory of a little girl who always looked forward to making chinchin (a special type of fried dough snack) with her grandma.

I was contracted to create a package design that is attractive to everyone but should appeal and be attractive especially to children. The packaging needed to be easily recognisable, identifiable, sophisticated but fun.

Solution

The brand package development process included research (which was pretty interesting), concept development and refinement. I visited prominent supermarkets and interviewed little kids and parents. This helped to shape the final design of the package.
The packaging style is minimal but fun and the solid colours help the snack stand out in supermarkets while also being attractive to children.
