Quidax is a crypto-powered financial institution that makes it easy for businesses and individuals to buy and sell crypto using their local currency. They also provide the option for individuals to earn, save and spend crypto. Quidax enables other fintech companies to offer crypto-related services to their customers through their Quidax API.
Although the rate of crypto adoption in African countries like Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania is high, there's still a lot of confusion and scepticism regarding crypto. At the same time, in Nigeria, the fiat keeps losing value against the dollar.
How can we help people save their money from losing value? How can we help people understand crypto better? How can we ensure that we give people all the value crypto affords?
The team conducted multiple user interviews to understand why people found it hard and confusing to use most crypto apps. We also had brainstorming sessions to gather ideas on the best way to solve the problem, using the insights from the user interviews.
We wanted to give people a feel of the product so that even without creating an account, the app would be helpful to them. People can view the summary of any coin and see its current price and price history.
Many beginners found buying crypto via the Orderbook confusing, so we designed the Instant Buy & Sell to be clear and easily understood.
The wallet shows the total balance, fiat and crypto balance, the most recent transactions, and the different actions for each wallet.
The markets section was designed to show the prices in a less confusing manner. People can also buy crypto from the market section.
As the user's needs kept expanding, we designed a hub to house the new product offers.
